Adding Images to your web page using the web page editor

1) Click the spot where you want to add the image.

2) Click on the "Insert / Edit Local Image" icon.

3) The Insert/Edit Local Image window will popup. All your images will be listed to the left. If you click on an image in the list to the left, a preview will be displayed in the box to the right. To insert an image already in this list (i.e. an image you have uploaded already) select the image and click the "Insert" button on the bottom right.

4) To upload and add a new image, click the "Browse..." button on the bottom left. A window will open for you to browse your computer. Find the image you would like to upload on your computer and click "open". Please make sure that the image has a valid file name - no spaces or special characters (!@#$%^&* etc.) and make sure the file extension is the right kind (.jpg, .gif, .png, .bmp). Then click the "upload" button to upload the image to your website. If successful you will get a success message. Click the "insert" button to insert the image into your web page.

Editing Images to your web page using the web page editor

1) Click on the image you would like to edit and click the "Insert / Edit Local Image" icon.

2) The attributes of selected image will be displayed to the bottom left under the "layout" section. Any changes you make will be displayed in the box to the top right to you can preview different settings.

3) When you are done making your change, click the "insert" button.

The "Insert/Edit Local Image" Section displays the URL of the image (i.e. the actual web address of the image file) and the Alternate Text for the image. You usually don't have to do anything with the URL field, but you can and should specify the Alternate Text for the image. This is the text that is displayed when your mouse hovers over the image. It is also important for SEO (search engine optimization) because search engines cannot read images but can read the Alternate Text associated with images.
